Foster City Community Connect Program

Community Connect Program

What is the Community Connect Program?

The Community Connect Program is designed to develop positive and productive relationships between our community members and their police department. Our police officer liaison will be assigned to work closely with the Foster City community. Through partnerships with our residential and business community, we will work to identify and resolve issues and concerns through increased communication and understanding. While our goal is to increase public safety and awareness, nothing says we can't have fun too!

Ten Designated Neighborhoods

The Community Connect Program enables each Foster City neighborhood to work side by side with the Police Department through their police officer liaison. In an effort to foster relationship building, community dialogue, and problem solving, meetings will be held in each of the ten neighborhoods. Understanding that there may be concerns and issues specific to individual neighborhoods, the officer liaison will remain available to work through any issues while focusing on specific needs of a neighborhood.

Officer Liaison

The officer liaison is responsible for implementing unique, and ongoing strategies to serve our community. The officer liaison will:

  • Assist with public education, crime prevention, neighborhood-specific problems, and help with coordination of other City services.
  • Seek out and identify community needs.
  • Track neighborhood concerns and crimes that affect the overall quality of life in each neighborhood.
  • Be available for questions or suggestions from the residents.
  • Take time to build personal relationships with the residents.
  • Have FUN with our neighbors.
