Officer Noel Prado

Officer Noel Prado was born in Managua, Nicaragua (Central America). Upon arriving in the United States, his family settled in San Francisco and later relocated to Pittsburg, CA, where he attended Pittsburg High School. In 2000, he enrolled at Silicon Valley College, where he obtained an AAS in Graphic Design. He then transferred to the University of Phoenix and received his Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Management in 2003.

Noel established a career in banking and lending, where he worked for 15 years and later became a member of the Board of Directors with the Richmond Chamber of Commerce. In his spare time, he volunteered as a youth mentor, teaching life skills to at-risk juveniles. In 2015, he attended the Oakland Police Academy and served with OPD before transitioning to the Foster City Police Department in 2017.

While patrolling the streets of Foster City, Noel has established a solid understanding of the community. He was selected to be one of the department’s Taser and De-escalation Use of Force instructors. In addition, he is one of the department’s Police Explorer Advisors and was recently appointed as the Foster City Police Department’s Community Engagement Officer (CEO).

When Noel is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family. Noel’s hobbies consist of snowboarding, wakeboarding, mountain biking, kayaking, backpacking, and hiking.
