In response to the public health concerns regarding hosting public gatherings amid the rise of cases and the increased transmissibility of the omicron variant of COVID-19, Foster City will be holding City Council, Planning Commission, citizen advisory committees and other public meetings virtually for the months of January and February.

Public Meetings in January and February to be Hosted Virtually

In response to the public health concerns regarding hosting public gatherings amid the rise of cases and the increased transmissibility of the omicron variant of COVID-19, Foster City will strictly begin hosting City Council, Planning Commission, citizen advisory committees and other public meetings virtually for the months of January and February starting Thursday, January 13.

Traffic Control Projects Increase Safety Near Foster City Schools

To reduce safety hazards involving students and drivers near schools in Foster City, new traffic control measures such as new crosswalk signs, red curbs and crosswalks have been completed. These efforts are designed to increase pedestrian visibility and limit traffic threats. 

Attend the 2022 Vision & Policy Summit

Join the City Council on Wednesday, January 12 at 8am for the annual Vision & Policy Summit, where Council will discuss their priorities and key initiatives for the year. This is an opportunity for Councilmembers to identify their most valued policy items and evaluate how staff resources may be allocated to achieve them.
