The City of Foster City is excited to announce that Derek Schweigart has been selected to serve as the next Parks and Recreation Director. He has more than 25 years of experience working in the public sector, most recently serving as the General Manager for the Highlands Recreation District and previously as the Community Services Director for the City of Menlo Park. He will start on Monday, May 9.

He will start in Foster City on Monday, May 9.

Represent Foster City in the Wyland Foundation's 2022 National Mayor's Challenge for Water Conservation, which continues through April 30. Residents who visit mywaterpledge.com and make a series of pledges to conserve water on behalf of the City will have an opportunity to win great prizes. 

Foster City residents are encouraged to attend upcoming Joint City Council and Planning Commission meeting on Tuesday, May 17, at 6:30 p.m., when a draft of the Housing Element will be reviewed. The Housing Element is a key planning document intended to guide Foster City's housing growth to accommodate the approximately 1,896 new housing units mandated by the State between 2023 and 2031. 

DRAFT HOUSING ELEMENT DOCUMENTS AVAILABLE NOW!
