Levee Improvements Project Reopening Baffin Street Bridge

The Levee Improvements Project is scheduled to reopen the Baffin Bridge on or around June 6, making the Baffin Street crossing the current project access point to Belmont/Redwood Shores. A revised detour map is now available on the project website. 

Summer Days Festival Returning to Foster City

After a two-year hiatus, the Summer Days festival is returning to Leo J. Ryan Park in Foster City!  The community event first held in 2019 will come roaring back for three days of fun in the sun from Friday, August 19, to Sunday, August 21.

Changes Made to Traffic Relief Program

On Monday, May 2, Foster City will initiate a test-trial to prohibit U-turns at the intersection of East Hillsdale Boulevard and Edgewater Boulevard, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., on Monday through Friday, in an attempt to address illegal left turns that have continued to occur since the illuminated Traffic Relief Program signs were activated on March 21, 2022.

Healthy Waters, Healthy Parks is an initiative highlighting the City’s long history of keeping its parks and waterways clean and healthy. However, the City has received concerns about the number of Canada geese and the excrement they leave on Foster City beaches, playfields, parks, and walkways, in addition to the City’s waterways.
