Family Games

Join the Foster City Parks and Recreation Department's Summer Camp Staff for an afternoon of fun family games! All family members are welcomed and encouraged to participate in some of our favorite games like Potato Sack Races and a Watermelon Eating Contest.  Join us in the Leo Ryan Park Meadow from 1:30pm-2:30pm!

Family & Dog Parade

We've combined two of our favorite 4th of July events, the Family Parade and the Dog Show, into one new exciting event! Decorate your wagons, bikes, and of course yourself with your best stars, stripes, and red, white, and blue for the annual 4th of July Parade.  Registration is free for families and dogs.  Contestants must be pre-registered prior to 4th of July.  Registration Closes at 5pm July 3rd.

Parking Information

This event historically turns out a large crowd for the full day of activities and events.  The community is encouraged to walk, bike, and carpool to the Fourth of July Celebration. There will be no shuttle service for this event.

General Event Information

Here are a few tips to help make your Fourth of July in Foster City a safe and enjoyable experience.

Personal Fireworks: The possession, use, and sale of fireworks of all types are illegal and prohibited in Foster City. Fireworks are subject to confiscation and violators may receive misdemeanor citations and subsequent prosecution. Fireworks, in spite of their patriotic association, cause injuries and fires. Please leave the pyrotechnics to the experts.

Bollywood Concert and Dance

Come enjoy the sounds and dance of India! This event is organized by community volunteers and co-sponsored by the Foster City Parks and Recreation Department. Don't miss out on this free family friendly event held in the Leo Ryan Park Amphitheater.

Family Overnighter

The Foster City Parks and Recreation Department is proud to offer the  Annual Family Overnighter in Boothbay Park! We are delighted to offer your family a night under the stars! A burger and hot dog BBQ, S'mores, jump house for the kids, movie in the park, and breakfast are all included. Each family should bring a tent to sleep in, sleeping bags, flashlights, and warm clothes. All children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. The cost is $15 per person.

Neighbor Night

Celebrate July is Parks and Recreation Month by attending one of the Neighbor Nights. The Neighbor Nights program is hosted in three different community parks throughout Foster City. The goal of this program is bring people together from the each of the surrounding neighborhoods to enjoy an evening of food and family games. If you attend one of the Neighbor Nights, your name will be entered into a raffle to win a prize! Forget the hassle of hosting, and just enjoy an evening of meeting new neighbors!

Description

The work includes, without limitation, providing all labor, material, and equipment necessary to perform the work specified in the Plans and Specifications including, but not limited to, procurement and installation of material for traffic control, construction fencing, removal and installation of synthetic turf including header board where needed, placing grey fines, removal and installation of new fencing, shade structure fabric replacement  installation, and exposing of existing drainage to verify functionality after new drainage fittings have been installed.
