Family & Dog Parade

4th of July Parade

We've combined two of our favorite 4th of July events, the Family Parade and the Dog Show, into one new exciting event! Decorate your wagons, bikes, and of course yourself with your best stars, stripes, and red, white, and blue for the annual 4th of July Parade.  Registration is free for families and dogs.  Contestants must be pre-registered prior to 4th of July.  Registration Closes at 5pm July 3rd.

On 4th of July,  please check-in, in front of the Recreation Center by Main Parking Lot between 10 - 10:45.  The Parade will begin at 11:05 am by the skate park and will proceed through Shell into the Senior Wing Parking Lot and arrive at the amphitheater.  Awards will proceed after the parade at the amphitheater.  The parade starts at 11:05am from The VIBE Teen Center and heads down Shell Blvd before making a turn into Leo Ryan Park.  The parade ends at the Amphitheater where the opening ceremonies begin at 11:15am. 

Family Parade participants need to be registered in advance.   Family Parade contestants can enter the categories of Most Patriotic, Most Unique, and Best Group. Family Contest participants must be pre-registered.  To do so, please click one of the following contest categories to register your family:

Best Group

Family Parade prizes will be given for Most Patriotic, Most Unique, Best Group, and Best Overall, so come dressed to impress!

Dog Parade/Contest participants need to be registered in advance.  Dog Parade/Contest participants can choose to enter their dog into one contest category.  Dog Contest participants must be pre-registered.  To do so, please click one of the following contest categories to register your dog:

Dog-Owner Look-A-Like

Most Beautiful

Most Handsome

Fastest Eater (limited to first 12 dogs)

We encourage anyone not participating in the parade to line Shell Boulevard to view the parade, and then join us in the amphitheater at 11:15am for the opening ceremonies.
