Temporary Outdoor Guidelines for Businesses

At  the July 31 City Council Meeting, the City Council approved a resolution that supports our local businesses during this difficult time. The resolution temporarily suspends code enforcement actions against businesses such as salons/barbers, personal care services, gyms/fitness centers and offices that are not currently permitted to provide outdoor operations, while State and County Health Orders restrict indoor operations.

Request for Proposals – Foster’s Landing Tenant Relocation Assistance Services

The City of Foster City is pleased to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) to qualified consultants for the work entitled: Foster’s Landing Tenant Relocation Assistance Services. The Foster’s Landing apartment community contains 74 affordable housing tenant households that are facing displacement due to expiring affordable housing covenants. The attached RFP is for relocation assistance services to help them find and relocate to substitute housing.

At July 6 City Council Meeting, the City Council approved a resolution that supports our local businesses during this difficult time. The resolution temporarily suspends code enforcement actions against restaurants that are not currently permitted to provide outdoor dining service, but wish to use outdoor space to serve additional diners while State and County health orders restrict indoor dining to its full capacity.

Response to Comments (RTC) Document Prepared - June 11, 2020

Following the close of the 45-day public review period, a Response to Comments (RTC) document was prepared. The RTC document includes a brief description of the environmental review process; comments received on the Draft EIR; and responses to the comments received. The RTC document, together with the Draft EIR, constitutes the Final EIR for the proposed hotel project.

The Planning Commission of the City of Foster City held a Public Hearing on March 5, 2020 to continue the discussion and review of revised site and architectural plans for the proposed development of a new, approximately 83,187 square-foot, seven-story hotel with 156 guest rooms and surface parking below a raised podium at the vacant lot located at the southwest corner of Metro Center Boulevard and Shell Boulevard in the Town Center Neighborhood  — APN: 094-522-350 — UP2019-0006, EA2019-0001 and RZ2019-0002.
