All community members are invited to attend an open conversation on everything Foster City! On Tuesday, January 23rd, 2018, a Town Hall Meeting with the Vice Mayor and City Manager will be held in the Wind Room at the Foster City Community Center from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm.  

Vice Mayor Gary Pollard and City Manager Kevin Miller will be available to listen to you and your suggestions on today's critical issues, while providing their insights on all Citywide related matters. The event is open to the public and will be a forum for a collaborative & solution-based discussion.

Foster City Seeking Nominees for Community Wall of Fame

The Ad Hoc Foster City Community Wall of Fame Selection Committee for 2018 is now seeking nominations of individuals to be recognized for their significant, long-term service contributions to the City.  

The names of the individuals chosen will be placed on the Community Wall of Fame to publicly acknowledge their contributions. The deadline for nominations for the Community Wall of Fame is 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 9, 2018.  

Nomination criteria include:

Minimum 10 years of community service in Foster City;
Nominee must have been a resident of Foster City during the time he/she provided community service;
Nominee may be living or deceased;
Application must include twenty-five (25) signatures from residents of Foster City supporting the nominee's nomination;
A spokesperson must present nominee's qualifications (3-5 minute presentation) to a public meeting of the ad hoc committee and, if the candidate is selected, to the City Council;
Applicants must submit a 5" x 7" photograph of the candidate for a Wall of Fame photo archive; and
Candidate cannot be currently employed by the City of Foster City.

Vice Mayor Gary Pollard Represents Foster City During League of California Cities’ Policy Committee Meetings in Sacramento

On January 18, Vice Mayor Gary Pollard represented the City of Foster City in Sacramento at the League of California Cities' first policy committee meetings of 2018. Vice Mayor Pollard serves on the Transportation, Communication and Public Works Policy Committee, which is integral to the League's policy-making process.
