The City of Foster City is teaming up with RethinkWaste to host a Free Community Shred Event on Wednesday, July 25, 2018, starting at 2:00 PM and continuing until 6:00 PM or until the trucks have filled up, whichever happens first.

SamTrans is studying the possibility of new express bus service through San Mateo County, to San Francisco and Santa Clara counties, with some routes potentially running in a managed lane on US-101. Learn more about the study here.

Join Mayor Sam Hindi and other City Councilmembers and representatives from LimeBike at a ribbon-cutting event at City Hall, 610 Foster City Blvd. on Wednesday, June 13 at 2pm. LimeBike, a San Mateo based company, is introducing its fleet of bicycles, e-bikes, and e-scooters throughout Foster City. 

The Bay Area Dragons (BAD) presents the Bay Area Dragon Boat Novice Race (previously "Foster City Novice Dragon Boat Race") on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at the Leo J Ryan Park in Foster City, CA.

New to dragon boat? This is your chance! This is a race for people who have no or little experience with dragon boat. Get your friends and coworkers together to join a day of paddling, food, and music!

Last fall, Get Us Moving San Mateo County was launched to develop a community-driven solution to reduce traffic and address complex transportation issues in our County. We have been working in partnership with the San Mateo County Transit District, the County Board of Supervisors, and agencies and groups across the County to help identify and prioritize transportation funding needs.
