Adopted Building Codes – 2025 Edition

Effective Date: January 1, 2026

If you are an architect, engineer, designer, or contractor working in the State of California, please be advised that the 2025 edition of the California Building Standards Code (Title 24, CCR) took effect on January 1, 2026. 

Important:

All permit applications submitted on or after January 1, 2026 must comply with the 2025 code set.

The City of Foster City (the “City”) is requesting proposals from qualified consultants to conduct an independent professional real estate economic market analysis. This analysis will assess market trends and cycles, demographic trends, supply and demand dynamics, and economic indicators to evaluate future needs. It will provide a strong baseline of data to inform actionable strategies that guide sustainable growth and economic development.

The City of Foster City is implementing a home rehabilitation program for low and very low-income Foster City homeowners. The City of Foster City (“City”) invites qualified firms and nonprofit organizations that meet the requirements to provide a proposal in compliance with the City of Foster City’s Housing Element, Policy H-A, Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing, and Program H-B-2-a, Lower Income Homeowner Rehabilitation Loans.
