Effective Date: January 1, 2026

If you are an architect, engineer, designer, or contractor working in the State of California, please be advised that the 2025 edition of the California Building Standards Code (Title 24, CCR) took effect on January 1, 2026. 

Important:

All permit applications submitted on or after January 1, 2026 must comply with the 2025 code set.

The City of Foster City (“City”) invites qualified firms and nonprofit organizations that meet the requirements to provide a proposal in compliance with the City of Foster City’s Housing Element, Policy H-A, Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing, and Program H-B-2-a, Lower Income Homeowner Rehabilitation Loans.
