Are you a between the ages of 14 and 20 years old and interested in a law enforcement career or simply serving the community?

The Foster City Police Law Enforcement Explorers Post 459 may be just what you are looking for!The Foster City Police Explorers are looking for young men and women who are interested in careers in the field of Law Enforcement.

Explorer Post 459 was established to enhance the relationship between youth and the Police Department. Foster City Police Explorers meet twice a month at the Police Department and participate in community events regularly.Law Enforcement Explorer posts help youth to gain insight into a variety of programs that offer hands-on activities.

The Explorer Program Includes:

  • Meetings
  • Scenario Training
  • Workshops
  • Trips
  • Ride and work with Police Officers
  • Community Service Activities
  • Evidence Collection
  • Drug Awareness
  • Competitions

Police Explorers learn about:

  • Police procedures such as Investigations and Patrol Practices
  • Emergency Communications
  • First Aid
  • Children and Adult identification kits
  • Self Defense

Our explorers assist the police in community-wide events such as:

  • The Annual Arts & Wine Festival
  • The July 4th Celebration
  • Bowditch Graduation
