  • Foster City reminds residents to please call the Police Department to report weather-related issues.  During the storm, the safest thing you and your family can do is remain inside your home.
  • To report non-life-threatening flood emergencies, please contact the Foster City Police Department Business Line at (650) 286-3300. Please call 911 for any life-threatening emergencies.
  • The City has set up a sandbag filling station in the City Hall parking lot (610 Foster City Blvd). The San Mateo County Department of Emergency Management is also offering sandbags at the Grant Corporation Yard, 752 Chestnut Street, Redwood City. The County of San Mateo has also published a list of sandbag station locations here
  • For the latest regional updates and safety information, residents are encouraged to sign up for SMC Alerts at www.smcalert.info.
  • San Mateo County residents can now call 2-1-1 for non-emergency storm information such as sandbag pickup locations, shelter information, and reporting downed trees.
  • If you see any downed power lines, or smell natural gas, please call the PG&E hotline at 1-800-743-5000. Do not call the Foster City Police Department for power outages or related issues.
