November 6, 2018 Election - City Council Candidates

Municipal elections in Foster City are scheduled on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November of even-numbered years, to coincide with the Statewide General Election.

CANDIDATES FORUM

On November 6, 2018, the City will hold an election for two seats on the City Council. A Candidates Forum was held in the City Council Chambers on September 24 at 6:30 pm.

The June 5, 2018 election results will be available on the San Mateo County Elections website starting at 8:05 p.m. on Election Day. 

Measure P (Ballot Measure)

​On March 5, 2018 the City Council placed a $90 million bond measure to locally fund levee improvements on the June 5, 2018 ballot.  In order to pass, the bond measure needs to be approved by 66.7% of voters.

Transient Occupancy Tax Ballot Measure TT

​On August 6, 2018 the City Council placed an ordinance related to the Transient Occupancy Tax on the November 6, 2018 ballot.  In order to pass, the ordinance needs to be approved by a simply majority of voters.
