  • Audit Committee: One member for a partial term (Jan. 1, 2026 through Dec. 31, 2028).  Meetings are typically held twice per year in April and November in Conference Room 1A in City Hall, 610 Foster City Blvd. Visit https://www.fostercity.org/bc-audit for more information about the Audit Committee.

The Audit Committee advises the City Council/District Board regarding the selection of the independent auditor(s), the review of the annual audit process and financial statements, and other financial matters as requested by the City Council/District Board. All members shall have experience and expertise in the field of finance, accounting, law, or information technology.

  • Citizens Sustainability Advisory Committee (CSAC): One member for a partial term (September 1, 2024 through August 31, 2027). Monthly meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers Conference Room, 620 Foster City Blvd. Visit http://www.fostercity.org/bc-csac for more information about CSAC.

CSAC serves in an advisory capacity at the pleasure of the City Council, providing feedback and comments on issues facing Foster City regarding environmental, economic, or social sustainability. Additionally, CSAC can research, review, and provide comments on proposed sustainability programs and initiatives.

Applications will be accepted electronically via Netfile. Applicants are encouraged to sign up for an account and apply at https://netfile.com/bac/public/#/FOS/. Those interested in applying should review the City’s committee attendance policy, which prohibits committee members from missing three consecutive meetings (two for Audit Committee) or five meetings per 12-month period. Additionally, those ultimately selected to join a committee will be expected to complete mandatory ethics training within 30 days of their appointment.

Community members are invited to submit applications by 5 p.m. on January 8, 2026. Applicants are required to attend the January 20, 2026City Council meeting for an interview and consideration of official appointment. If an applicant can not submit using Netfile, applications can be submitted in person at City Hall, 610 Foster City Blvd., or via email to clerk@fostercity.org. Please note that incomplete applications will not be accepted.
