For Immediate Release: May 18, 2021
Contact: Public Works Department, (650) 286-3270, jpaping@fostercity.org

RethinkWaste has teamed up with the City of Foster City to hold a Free Community Shred Event for Foster City residents on Saturday, June 12, 2021, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, at the City Hall Parking Lot (610 Foster City Boulevard).

This event is offered by appointment only. Appointments may be made at https://www.fostercity.org/schedule-greenevent. All event participants will be required to show proof of Foster City residency and verify their appointments when entering the event.

Participants are asked to wear a mask and remain in their cars for this event. This will ensure safety of participants and staff and help keep the appointment line moving. The vendor will retrieve materials from vehicles. Please prepare your materials to be shredded (no more than three boxes) for easy retrieval.

To raise awareness and to promote prevention of consumer fraud and identity theft, Community Shred events give Foster City residents the opportunity to have confidential documents that they no longer need safely destroyed on-site, free of charge. Staples and paperclips are OK. Please remember, there is a limit of 3 boxes per household.

For more information, contact RethinkWaste at (650) 802-3500 or info@rethinkwaste.org.
