PG&E: Gas Line Capacity and Electric Reliability Project

Gas Line Capacity Project

Starting the week of August 14, 2017, PG&E will begin work to install approximately 1,150 feet of 8-inch natural gas main along E. Hillsdale Boulevard, from Shell Boulevard to Foster City Boulevard to replace the existing 6-inch main. The project will increase the capacity and accommodate future demand. This project is anticipated to be completed in October 2017.

Electric Reliability Project

PG&E will be installing new underground circuits on E. Hillsdale Boulevard, from the San Mateo city limits to Shell Boulevard. New pad mounted equipment along E. Hillsdale Boulevard will also be added to support new circuits. The new circuits will increase electrical service reliability in the City. This project is anticipated to start in October 2017 and should be completed by the end of February 2018.

To minimize inconveniences to the public, construction activities will be limited to the hours between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Traffic control and lane closures will be in effect during construction. Motorists are advised to observe all posted traffic signs for safe travel through the construction area.
