Pickleball Court Reservation Information

When can I make a pickleball court reservation?

To reduce crowding at the courts and provide a streamlined process for users to secure a court, the Recreation Division is providing online court reservations free of charge to Foster City residents only. Beginning March 1, residents can book a court for designated times for March 8, 2021 and beyond.  Reservations must be made no later than 3:30pm the previous day of your desired time/date. Reservations are not required to play but are highly encouraged to avoid waiting times.

Reservation time slots are in 1 hour intervals (renter must arrive no later than 10 minutes late or they forfeit the use of the court.)  No shows maybe subjected to an admin fee of $10. Pickleball courts may be reserved for a maximum of 1-hour per day with a limit of one court per day.

I have a reservation. What do I bring to my court time?

Please bring your permit with you to the court. The permit admits you to the designated court/timeslot and gives you priority over people using the court/timeslot as open play.

When arriving for your reservation, please arrive on time and be prepared to show photo identification.  The name on the reservation must match the user with photo identification. There is a 10 minute grace period before the City considers the permit holder of forfeiting their time slot. Failure to show up for an appointment may result in a $10 admin fee charge. To cancel your reservation time, please email recreation@fostercity.org no later than 1 hour prior to your time.

Upon arrival, enter the courts closest to Court 6 as Recreation staff will checking users in. If a staff member is not present and your reserved court is open, you may enter and start your reservation time. (Staff may check you in anytime during your reservation time).

I'm not a resident, can I use the courts?

Non-residents can still use the courts during any Open Play or when there is no reservation. Courts #1-3 are dedicated Open Play courts.  Non-residents are unable to reserve a court at this time. The Reservation Calendar will be posted daily at the main Pickleball Court entrance.

What days and times can I reserve the court for?

Reservations can be made in 1 hour intervals beginning March 8th,  Monday-Sunday from 8am-12pm and weekday evenings from 4pm-7pm (6pm is the last time slot) on Courts #4-6.  All other times are available for drop-in play.

A Reservation Calendar will be posted at the entrance of the Pickleball Courts.  If there is no reservation scheduled, the court can be open for a 1 hour drop-in play.
