For immediate release: April 1, 2022

Contact: City Manager Department, 650-286-3220, manager@fostercity.org

As part of its annual budget preparation, the City Council is pleased to announce that it will be accepting proposals for nonprofit funding in Fiscal Year 2022-2023, beginning Friday, April 1, 2022. To be considered, eligible organizations must submit an application by Monday, May 2, at 5:00 p.m. Interested applicants may visit the City’s website to apply: www.fostercity.org/nonprofitfunding.

Each year, the City Council sets aside funds to support local nonprofit agencies that operate programs and services that benefit the Foster City community and that the City would otherwise be unable to provide. Funding levels are determined annually by the City Council. At its March 21 meeting, the City Council approved updated Nonprofit Grant Program Guidelines, which can be found at: https://www.fostercity.org/citymanager/page/non-profit-funding-availabil....

Applicants are invited to appear during the Public Comment period at any regular City Council meeting between Monday, April 4, and Monday, June 6, 2022. Applicants will be given three minutes to briefly provide an overview of their organization and how funding would benefit the Foster City community. City staff will review all applications, and funding recommendations will be presented for consideration to City Council at its meeting on Monday, June 6, 2022, at 6:30 p.m.
