Citizen Advisory Committees

An important component of the City's policy-making structure is its various Committees that recommend and advise the Council on special issues.  Civic-minded volunteers are appointed by the City Council, usually for a term of three years for Committee members and four years for Planning Commissioners. Appointments are typically made in December of to fill expiring terms for Committee members, in May for Planning Commissioners as well as during the year to fill partial terms. An appointment list of committee vacancies this year is available here (Maddy Act List). All meetings are open to the public.

As of March 2022, agendas are posted here: https://www.fostercity.org/agendasandminutes
