Technology has changed our shopping patterns in ways we could not have imagined 15 years ago. Join City staff and retail professionals to hear about the state of our local and regional retail market and its possible future. Come learn about our retail economics and provide ideas on ways we can strengthen our local economy.

All community members are invited to participate in the fourth session, "Commercial Retail" of the Community Dialogue Series in Foster City to be held on December 5, 2017 in the Multi-Purpose Room at the Peninsula Jewish Community Center, 800 Foster City Blvd., from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Be informed and get involved in strategies for lasting solutions.

"Our goal with this CommUNITY Dialogue Series meeting is to discuss the current issues facing retail areas in Foster City and our region." said Dante Hall, Assistant City Manager of Foster City. "The public should come and learn from City staff and industry professionals about ways the public and private sector can work towards strengthening our local economy."

Session 1 of the 2017 Community Dialogue Series was entitled Celebrating the Evolution of Our City, and helped provide the foundation for discussions taking place that evening as well as at subsequent sessions. Session 2, Workforce Housing, built on the program by informing, engaging and involving the community in a dialogue with a panel of industry experts centered on workforce housing. Session 3, held in October, centered on Transportation and Mobility and was attended by over 80 community members who discussed both local solutions and regional challenges.
