At its regular meeting on September 6, 2011, the City Council received presentations from two land development teams for the development of the 15-Acre vacant property immediately south of City Hall.
Based on their selection through a Request for Qualifications process, three land development teams were invited to respond to a Request for Proposals. Two teams submitted proposals by the August 1, 2011, deadline. At the September 6 meeting, each team presented the initial concept of the uses and designs that their teams are proposing for the site, based on the criteria that were included in the Request for Proposals. The presentations were to demonstrate each team’s approach and ability to create a plan that matches the City’s vision for the site.
The two land development teams that participated in the September 6 meeting include a team led by the Sares-Regis Group of Northern California L.L.P. and a team put together for this effort called Foster City Community Partners.
The City Council will be discussing the selection of one of the firms as the potential developers of the 15-acre site at the October 3 City Council meeting.
