The City of Foster City has announced that landscaped areas on the Taurus Drive Easement and at Little Leo Park will be closed thru December 2011 while landscape renovations are underway.
As part of ongoing projects to upgrade and renovate City parks, facilities, easements, and other public property, City staff will be managing and coordinating the work of contractors on the Taurus Drive Easement Renovation Project as part of Capital Improvement Project 624 and the Little Leo Park Renovation Project as part of Capital Improvement Project 625. Both projects will be conducted simultaneously.
These projects will be managed by the Parks and Recreation Department. The general contractor performing work on the Taurus Drive Easement is Scapes Inc. and the general contractor performing work on Little Leo Park is Loral Landscaping, Inc.
New landscaping including trees, shrubs, and irrigation systems will be installed on the Taurus Drive Easement (existing shrubs along the north side of the easement will remain). New landscaping including trees, shrubs, irrigation systems, and hardscape (benches, concrete pathway) will be installed at Little Leo Park.
Work in November will include erection of safety fencing around the perimeter of all work areas at both sites, removal of old irrigation, turf, trees, plants, soil and hardscape materials and grading, drainage and soil preparation. Work in December will include irrigation renovation and landscape and hardscape installation.
Thank you for your patience as the City works to maintain the landscaping round our City.
