On Saturday, April 16, 2011, the City of Foster City and the Environmental Sustainability Task Force will host the City’s second Earth Day Fair, which will focus on easy and fun ways to Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle.
The event will include the opportunity to recycle old electronics, shred personal documents for recycling, and safely dispose of unwanted or expired pharmaceuticals. Plenty of local “green” businesses will be in attendance to answer questions about making your life and home more Earth-friendly. You can also shop the booths and purchase a variety of green items, from recycled jewelry to reusable bags.
Have fun at the Earth Day Swap Meet! Drop off clothes, books, toys, anything you don't need anymore...make them someone else's treasures … or find some free goodies of your own! Community groups will also be selling used treasures. That's the REUSE, in Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle!
Community group and vendor booths are still available; make a reservation today!
