For immediate release: June 27, 2022

RethinkWaste and the City of Foster City have teamed up to hold a free community shred event for Foster City residents at the City Hall parking lot located at 610 Foster City Boulevard on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, or until the hauling truck’s capacity is reached.

Consumer fraud and identity theft are becoming common in our communities. To raise awareness and to promote prevention, community shred events give Foster City residents the opportunity to have their confidential documents destroyed on site, free of charge, whether small business documents or personal papers. There is a limit of 3 boxes per household.  Proof of residence will be required.

For more information contact the South Bayside Waste Management Authority at (650) 802-3500 or info@rethinkwaste.org. RethinkWaste is a regional agency, formed in 1982 to help local communities manage and reduce waste.
