Foster City residents interested in knowing more about building permits and why they are important are invited to attend the Building Permit Community Workshop. The free seminar will be held Wednesday, May 8, from 6-7 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at 620 Foster City Boulevard. The interactive workshop will feature an educational presentation from a Building Inspector in the Community Development Department, as well as a brief question and answer session.

Those who attend the workshop will learn more about what is a building permit, what kinds of projects need one, why it is valuable, how to apply, and much more about the permitting process. The class size is limited to 20 attendees on a first come, first served basis, so please enroll today. To sign up for the session, visit: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/foster-city-building-permits-community-workshop-tickets-876848346007. The session will also be recorded, so those who are interested but unable to attend will be able to watch it online.

“We are very excited to offer the first Building Permit Community Workshop,” said Community Development Director Sofia Mangalam. “We hope Foster City residents take advantage of this free opportunity to learn more about building permits, which will make the process easier for those who are planning to apply for one.”
