Get ready to celebrate the season with friends and family at the inaugural “Splash into Summer” outdoor movie night in the beautiful Leo Ryan Park meadow during the evening of Thursday, June 8. The free event will begin with a barbecue and other concessions available at 6:30 p.m., followed by outdoor games organized by the Parks and Recreation Department at 7 p.m., and a movie showing of Disney’s “Moana” from 8:30-10:30 p.m.

“The City of Foster City is thrilled to be hosting this great event celebrating the start of summer break with our family, friends, and community,” said Parks and Recreation Director Derek Schweigart. “We hope everyone will come join us for this fun-filled night, and we look forward to continuing celebrating together through the rest of the season.”

There will be no seating provided at the event, so attendees are encouraged to bring their own blankets or low-back chairs. All seating is first come, first serve. As a courtesy to others, please do not leave unattended items to reserve seating. Additionally, Foster City community events are smoke-free events and attendees are encouraged to be mindful of cleaning up after the event by using the trash and recycling receptacles.
