Foster City Police Investigating Home Invasion Robbery

On April 1st, 2022, at approximately 10:48 a.m., two armed suspects entered a residence on Castor Drive while three residents were at home. The suspects entered through an unlocked rear sliding glass door.  The armed suspects forced the family into a bedroom at gunpoint and demanded money and jewelry.  After ransacking the residence, the suspects stole the homeowner’s Silver Mercedes CL55 and their cell phone.

Foster City Police Officers responded immediately to investigate the crime and process the residence for evidence. Detectives are actively working the investigation and reaching out to other agencies to obtain information about cases with similar circumstances to help identify the suspects. The Foster City Police Department is asking residents to call the police if they notice activity in their neighborhood that is out of the ordinary or suspicious. For example, if unknown people are seen entering a side gate of a residence you are familiar with, or if an occupied vehicle is seen that is not normally in the neighborhood. The Foster City Police Department will respond to these types of incidents, or any situation that is believed to be suspicious, to determine if criminal activity is occurring. The Foster City Police Department would also like to remind residents to ensure their houses are secure by locking all doors and windows, even when you are home. Having a security system (alarm and cameras) is a good idea to deter would be burglars.
