The United States Post Office (USPS) has informed the City that unfortunately there will be a delay in the completion of the new post office to be located at 750 Alma Lane in Foster City. According to USPS officials, the delay is primarily due to lead time needed to obtain the equipment necessary to complete the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system. The construction timeline, which was due to wrap-up by the end of September 2018, will be extended into November 2018.

The USPS temporarily closed its location on January 31, 2018 due to the upcoming construction of a new elementary school on the Charter Square Shopping Center site. With most of the improvements complete in the 3,800 square foot facility, the community will soon once again be able to take advantage of postal services in Foster City (a brief video of the progress taken as of September 17th, 2018 can be seen at: https://youtu.be/t3a_vTttae4). We will continue to provide the community with updates as this project moves along, including an opening date.
