Take the Foster City Recreation Center & Parks System Survey

For immediate release: November 22, 2021

Contact: City Manager Department, (650) 286-3220, manager@fostercity.org

A new survey has been launched to collect the community’s thoughts and perspectives regarding the state of the Foster City Recreation Center and Parks System. Input provided in the survey by residents, park users, and community members will help determine how Foster City’s recreational amenities can be improved to meet current and future needs.

The survey is available online at: www.fostercity.org/parkssurvey. Additionally, the survey can be taken at kiosks in the City Hall lobby at 610 Foster City Boulevard or at the Recreation Center at 650 Shell Boulevard. Tables will also be set up at community events this winter in Foster City, where residents can participate in the survey. The final day to participate will be December 17, 2021, and the results will be discussed at the City Council’s Vision and Policy Summit on Wednesday, January 12, 2022.

The survey will help assess the community’s satisfaction with City’s existing recreational outlets and parks and it also seeks input regarding which new features could be added in the coming years. Feedback from the survey will ultimately be considered by the City Council as they begin examining ways to potentially upgrade the City’s recreational amenities and open spaces.

“Whether you attend events at the Recreation Center, stroll the parks to enjoy our beautiful lagoon system, play sports on the athletic fields, take your dog to the dog park, or enjoy other activities in Foster City’s open spaces – we want to hear from you,” said Interim City Manager Kevin Miller. “Your participation in the Recreation Center and Parks System survey is essential in helping to design recreational amenities that are used and appreciated by the entire community.”
