Ladies and gentlemen, start your paddling! Foster City’s favorite aquatic competition – the Rubber Ducky Races – returns to the Lagoon in Leo Ryan Park on Sunday, August 21, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. as part of the Summer Days Festival.

Community members who bring their own inflatable vessel, such as a raft or inner tube, are eligible to compete in race the Lagoon along the boardwalk. There will be two types of races – one for adults and another for teams with at least one person younger than 15. The cost to compete is $10 per boat. After a 30-year hiatus, the Rubber Ducky Races were brought back to Foster City last year with resounding success. This year the event is returning as part of the Summer Days Festival, which will take place in Leo Ryan Park from Friday, August 19, to Sunday, August 21. Beyond the Rubber Ducky Races, the festival will also feature live music, carnival rides, a classic car show, community booths, food, drink, and much more fun for the rest of the family.
