The Foster City City Council will consider an agreement at the March 15, 2021 Council Meeting for the use of Automated License Plate Readers (ALPRs) and we want to hear from you.

The goal of ALPRs is to assist the Foster City Police Department (FCPD) in providing a professional level of public service, ensuring personal safety, protection of property, and continued enhancement of the quality of life of those in our community. To learn more about license plate readers, watch the following informative video hosted by Police Chief Tracy Avelar: http://ow.ly/oiT850DF1xf.

FCPD encourages community members to learn more about the technology and provide live or written comments and feedback to publiccomment@fostercity.org. During the COVID-19 pandemic and pursuant to Executive Order N2920, all meetings will be held via teleconference/video conference only. The public may participate by Zoom and can find participation instructions at www.fostercity.org/agendasandminutes.
