The Community Bike Ride will be taking a new shape when it returns to Foster City on Sunday, September 12. To accommodate ongoing construction along the levee and allow for social distancing, the beloved annual event will transform into the Tour de Foster City Scavenger Hunt.

Participants will bike through Foster City and visit nine separate locations to gather letters indicating where the checkered flag is located. Once all nine clues featuring a bike and Foster City logo are collected, and the rider locates the checkered flag, they will be entered into a prize raffle drawing. Clues will be made available on Sunday, September 12, and participants will have one week to complete the challenge.

Participants must practice bike safety, which means wearing a helmet, staying in the bike lanes, and following all traffic laws. For those who complete the race, please do not post spoilers on social media. All race clues will be located on City property. Once the race is completed, email bkoehler@fostercity.org or pvizconde@fostercity.org with the nine letters and where they were found as well as the location of the finish line or a picture with the checkered flag.
