If part of your New Year’s resolution is to help others or get involved in your community, the City of Foster City encourages you to apply to become a member of the Parks & Recreation Committee or the Audit Committee!

Both committees are currently recruiting for one (1) vacancy each for partial terms from January 1, 2020 through December 31, 2022. As a member of the Parks and Recreation Committee, you’ll serve in an advisory role to ensure that parks and recreation programing is responsive to the interests and needs of Foster City community members. Audit Committee members will advise the City Council regarding the selection of independent auditors, the review of the annual audit process and financial statements, and other financial matters as requested by the Council.

Committee applications are due by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 25, 2021. Applicants must be Foster City residents and are required to attend the March 15, 2021 City Council Meeting at 6:30 p.m. for consideration of official appointment. Applicants for the Parks & Recreation Committee must attend a committee meeting before attending a Council meeting for formal appointment by the City Council.  Subject to the COVID-19 situation, applicants may be invited to join the meeting via teleconference.
