Bike Ride

After a hiatus of few years, the annual Foster City Community Bike Ride has returned!   Grab your family and friends for a fun morning bike ride with members of our community!  Families and individuals are encouraged to participate in a 5 or a 10 mile bike ride. We encourage riders of all ages. This year, the ride is scheduled for Sunday, September 24th.  The ride will begin at Boothbay Park, and continues down our beautiful new levee along the San Francisco Bay.

The event is totally free!  The ride begins at 10:15am, but arrive to the park at 9am and get your bike, tires and helmet checked out by professionals from Sports Basement!  Water, snacks an a frozen treat will keep you hydrated during and after the ride concludes.  Also, do not forget to pick up your free giveaway when the ride concludes!

Bike safety is very important.  Children under the age of 18 are required to wear a helmet, but all participants are strongly encouraged to wear a helmet.

New to the 2023 Community Bike Ride, the Foster City Police Department will be hosting the Bike Rodeo.  The Bike Rodeo is a educational yet fun class for children who are just learning to ride bikes (roughly 4 to 7 years old), although everyone is welcome to participate.  This is an opportunity for young bicyclists to practice and develop skills that will help them become better riders and avoid bike accidents.  The Bike Rodeo will begin at 10:30am, and will last approximately 90 minutes.  The Bike Rodeo is also free to join!
