"Water Saving Hero" Campaign
This has been a dry year so far, and last winter was one of the driest on record. Many people have already begun trying hard to do their part in helping to conserve water.
The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) and the Bay Area Water Supply and Conservation Agency (BAWSCA) have partnered to launch a regional public education campaign aimed at reminding residents and businesses of the importance to curb water use.
Referred to as the “Water Saving Hero” campaign, it features ordinary people adopting simple water conservation practices in their everyday lives, such as washing full loads of laundry and watering gardens during the cool morning hours. The campaign ads have been featured on billboards, transit stations, buses, trains, newspapers, and the radio throughout the region.
