Foster City Senior Programs
The Foster City Senior Wing offers a wide variety of programming for adults in the Foster City community. We offer programming Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm, with some special events held during the evenings and weekends. Our game room is open from 9am-6pm Monday-Friday.

Classes are co-sponsored by the San Mateo Adult School. Enrollment is accepted on an ongoing basis. Fees for the classes are based on age:
65+: $30 for one course per semester
50-64: $50 for one course per semester
Under 50: $75 for one course per semester

Senior Express Bus Program Reinstated:
The City of Foster City has announced that the Senior Express door-to-door service and monthly senior Lunch Bunch Program will be reinstated for one year (July 1, 2011- June 30, 2012). The City of Foster City received a generous, anonymous donation for $30,000 to pay for the costs of the program which will continue to run in its entirety.
At the June 6, 2011 City Council meeting, City Council voted to accept the donation and directed staff to reinstate the program.
Senior Express Bus Program Information:
Let the Senior Express Bus do the driving for you to run errands, go to appointments, and to take you wherever else you need to go! The bus operates as far north as Trousdale Avenue/Peninsula Hospital in Burlingame and as far south as Veterans Boulevard/Kaiser in Redwood City. The bus also travels to Stanford Hospital and the Millbrae BART station. The Senior Express operates on Tuesdays from 9 AM to 3:30 PM within Foster City and San Mateo, Wednesdays from 9 AM to 5 PM throughout the specified territory and Thursdays from 10 AM to 3:30 PM within Foster City and San Mateo. Reservations are required and the payment method is a punch card that can be purchased at the Senior Wing front desk.
