Parking

Fourth of July historically turns out a large crowd for the full day of activities and events that lead up to the 9:30pm fireworks show. The community is strongly encouraged to walk, bike, and carpool to the Fourth of July Celebration.

Parking for July 4th will take place at Parkside Tower Parking Garage. Parking will NOT be available in the dirt lot this year. The Parkside Tower Parking Garage is located on the corner of E. Hillsdale Blvd. and Shell Blvd. The garage can accommodate approximately 2,000 cars and is FREE!

Handicap parking is available in the Library Community Center parking lot and the City Hall parking lot.

There is no event parking in The Marketplace (Safeway/Longs) parking lot and a 2-hour time limit will be enforced for Marketplace patrons.

Parking in red zones is prohibited and will be strictly enforced.

Street Closures

As usual, Shell Blvd. will be closed to through traffic between E. Hillsdale Blvd. and Bounty from 7am until 11pm on July 4th. Through traffic will be prohibited on E. Hillsdale Blvd. between Edgewater and Foster City Blvd. from 5pm until 11pm. Metro Center Blvd. will be open between Edgewater and Foster City Blvd.

Driving Directions: Before 5pm

From US-101: Take 101 to 92 heading east. Take the Foster City Blvd. exit left onto Metro Center Blvd. and get in the right lane. From Metro Center Blvd, turn right onto Foster City Blvd. Head south to E. Hillsdale Blvd. Make a right onto E. Hillsdale Blvd and head west until you see the sign directing you to the Parking Garage.

From CA-92: Take 92 to the Foster City Blvd. exit. Take the Foster City Blvd. exit left onto Metro Center Blvd. and get in the right lane. From Metro Center Blvd, turn right onto Foster City Blvd. Head south to E. Hillsdale Blvd. Make a right onto E. Hillsdale Blvd and head west until you see the sign directing you to the Parking Garage.

From US-101: Take 101 to 92 heading east. Take the Foster City Blvd. exit to Metro Center Blvd. Head west on Metro Center Blvd. to Shell Blvd. Make a left onto Shell Blvd. and head south until you see the signs directing you to the Parking Garage.

From CA-92: From 92, take the Foster City Blvd. exit to Metro Center Blvd. Head west on Metro Center Blvd. to Shell Blvd. Make a left onto Shell Blvd. and head south until you see the signs directing you to the Parking Garage.

Sam Trans Shuttle Service- NOT Available
This free service has been provided in the past for the fireworks, but due to regulatory changes WILL NOT be available this year. No shuttle service is available to and from the event. Please plan accordingly.
