Leash Law

The City of Foster City requires all dogs to be either fenced in or attached to a leash and under control of their owners at all times when out of doors. Dogs roaming free are subject to being picked up by the Peninsula Humane Society. And, their owners may have to pay fines. It is also common sense that a dog running free has a much greater chance of getting seriously injured or lost. Please keep control of your dog at all times when outside. All dogs must be licensed by the Peninsula Humane Society.
