Construction Operating Hours

Operating any tools or equipment used in construction, repair, alteration, demolition or landscape maintenance is permissible in a residential district or within 100 yards of a residential district between the following hours only:

7:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on weekdays
9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on weekends and legal holidays

Major projects are subject to more stringent work hours limitations in their conditions of approval. Generally, signs advertising contractors and landscape companies are prohibited.  Construction signs that identify a project underway on a property that is one acre or more require a sign permit from the Planning/Code Enforcement Division.

Office Hours

The Building Inspection Division?s hours are 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. 

NO PERMITS WILL BE ISSUED AFTER 4:45 PM.

To schedule a Building Inspection contact the Building Division at 286-3227. Inspections are scheduled on a first come first serve basis so please call in advance to assure that you have allotted enough time should the inspection schedule be filled. Twenty-four hour minimum advance notice is required.

In order to schedule an inspection, staff will need the building permit number, location of the job and the type of inspection requested. Building Inspections are conducted during the following hours:

        Mornings:   9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m
        Afternoons: 1:30 p.m. to  4:30 p.m.
