Question: If I find money or other valuable property, and turn it in to the police, can I later claim it if the true owner has not collected it?
Answer: Yes, in most cases you can! It is the finder's responsibility to contact the Property Officer after 90 days if the true owner has not claimed it. Exceptions are weapons and contraband.
