FAQ - Window/Door Permits

Question: Do I need a building permit to add a window and/or door to my house?

Answer: All additions of new windows and doors, new unapproved window shapes or materials (such as glass block) require a Building Permit and an Architectural Review from the Planning/Code Enforcement Division. For technical information regarding installing the new window/door contact the Building Inspection Division and for building permit information. For Architectural Review submittal information please contact the Planning/Code Enforcement Division.
