FAQ - Solar Panels

Question: Do I need a permit to install solar panels?

Answer: Solar Panels require both an Architectural Review from the Planning/Code Enforcement Division and a Building Permit from the Building Inspection Division. These permits must be obtained prior to installation.

If you live in a planned development, your Homeowners' Association may have additional requirements for solar panels. Please contact your Homeowners' Association prior to applying for your permits.
