FAQ - New Hot tubs, spas, gazebos and pools

Question: Do I need permits to put in a new hot tub/spa and/or gazebo?

Answer: A Building Permit is required to install hot tubs, spas or pools. Hot tubs, spas and pools are required to maintain a 5' setback to the side and rear property line. Mechanical equipment is required to maintain a 5' setback to the side and rear property lines as well. For submittal requirements, please contact the Building Inspection Division.

If your proposal includes a patio cover or gazebo an Architectural Review is required. For setbacks, design and submittal requirements please contact the Planning/Code Enforcement Division.
