FAQ - Garage Door
Question: Do I need a permit to replace a garage door and/or opener?
Answer: A building permit is required for the door and, if new, an electrical permit is required for the opener.
If your house is in a planned development there may be restrictions on the type (brand) of garage door allowed in your development. Please contact the Planning/Code Enforcement Division for requirements for your development and submittal requirements for your Building Permit.
