FAQ - Building Permits - skylight

Question: Do I need a permit to install a skylight?

Answer: Skylights and SunTunnels require a Building Permit prior to installation. For submittal requirements please contact the Building Inspection Division. Skylights are required to have clear or smoked glazing, be flat and extend no more than 10" above the roof line.
