SamTrans

SamTrans is more than just a bus company. It enters the 21st century as an umbrella agency administering an integrated public transportation system that serves the entire Bay Area, through Caltrain, BART, Redi-Wheels and the San Mateo County Transportation Authority.

SamTrans bus service runs throughout Foster City and the San Francisco Peninsula, interconnecting with virtually all other public transit agencies in the Bay Area.

SamTrans runs three routes in Foster City. For schedule, fare and map information, please refer to the link to their website which is available in the additional information box to the right. The three routes are:

• Route 251
• Route 359 to Millbrae Intermodal Station 
• Route 54 (School Service)

For residents and employees with disabilities, SamTrans runs the Redi-Wheels program. Redi-Wheels is available to anyone who is not able to use regular fixed-route service due to disability.
