AC Transit Transbay Express Line M

The new transbay service links the transit center at BART/Hayward Station with the Hillsdale Caltrain Station in San Mateo.

Line M operates via Highway 92 (the San Mateo-Hayward Bridge) during commute hours to serve commercial/business centers at Bridgepointe and Metro Center, the Foster City Library/City Hall, and via East Hillsdale Boulevard, the Hillsdale Caltrain station and Hillsdale Mall. In the East Bay Line M serves Caltrains' Park and Ride lot (on Center Street at Interstate 580) and the BART station in Castro Valley.

Line M service has seven scheduled trips both east-bound and west-bound during each weekday morning and afternoon commute period. Utilizing the toll plaza diamond lane, Line M trips provide transit riders a significant travel time advantage, compared to trip times for drive-alone motorists.
