The San Mateo-Foster City School District, in partnership with the City of Foster City, is seeking parent and community leaders to participate in the Superintendent’s Committee on Overcrowding Relief (SCORE) to address student capacity challenges in Foster City. We are searching for a group of Foster City community leaders and residents with various perspectives to assist the Superintendent in:
Reviewing all possible solutions to student capacity challenges
Determining the benefits, costs, and impact on Foster City
Prioritizing and recommending the best solution(s) to the Superintendent
SCORE shall consist of:
A. Four (4) parent leader residents, one from each Foster City school, recommended by the school’s principal
B. One (1) principal from a San Mateo school recommended by the Superintendent
C. Two (2) Foster City residents recommended by the Foster City Chamber of Commerce
D. Three (3) Foster City residents recommended by the City Council of Foster City, one of whom serves on the Foster City Parks and Recreation Committee
E. Three (3) Foster City residents recommended by the San Mateo-Foster City School District Board of Trustees
Meetings will be held twice a month and will be open to the public to permit engagement in the process.
