Bring the ‘ohana (family) and celebrate Polynesian Culture at the Foster City Parks and Recreation Department’s tenth annual Polynesian Festival! This free event will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2013, from 10 AM to 5 PM at Leo Ryan Park Amphitheatre. Learn all about the “Legend of the Black Pearl of Tahiti” with interesting stories and actual black pearls to see!

There will be colorful and spectacular cultural performances from award-winning professional Polynesian Dance companies including, Ehulani’s ‘Ote’a/Kaulana Na Pua O Hawaii of Hayward, Kawailehua Hula Ohana of Milpitas, Motu’aina of Danville, Rahiti of Daly City and Tamarii Matairea of Stockton.

Don’t miss this exciting day of cultural activities, arts and crafts booths, canoe rides offered by Ho’okahi Pu’uwai Outrigger Canoe Club, food and more! Admission is free, however food and drinks are available for purchase.
